Sniejder Ready To Battle Massimo Moratti

WESLEY SNEIJDER will have to go to war with his club president Massimo Moratti to get his "dream move" to Manchester United.

SunSport revealed yesterday that Dutch Man was so desperate for a move from Inter Milan to Old Trafford that he would slash his pay demands by £50,000 a week to £200,000.

It would still making him the second highest paid star at United - behind Wayne Rooney on £250,000 a week.

United offered Sneijder a contract last month and Inter were happy to sell at £35million.But the Premier League champs could not agree on Sneijder's pay.The attacking midfielder was sure they would come back with a new offer but that has not happened.

But now when Sniejder is ready to cut his pay, striker Samuel Eto'o is now on his way out of the San Siro to the Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala, so Inter do not want to lose another major star.

Moratti said: "Sneijder was untouchable before the situation with Eto'o and he has become even more so now Eto'o could leave.

"Sneijder is going nowhere."

With the Eto'o transfer almost done, that could open the door for Manchester City's Carlos Tevez to get his desired move out of the Etihad.

However, Moratti believes the £50million price tag City have put on the Argentine hitman's head will scupper any deal.

The Inter chief admitted: "It will be difficult to sort an agreement for the City striker."
